Royal Doulton’s Sterasyl filter has a lifetime of 12 months or 10,000 litres, making it one of the most long-lasting gravity filters available. Scrub clean under running water for extended filter life. This filter employs a multi-stage filtration system to provide water purification through several mechanisms:

• Particulate filtration down to 0.9 microns absolute catches particles, sediment, and turbidity. This high level of filtration ensures the removal of particulate contamination.
• Absolute filtration rating of 99.99% at 0.9 microns and nominal filtration rating of 99.9% at 0.5 micron helps reduce harmful bacteria and protozoan cysts like giardia and cryptosporidium.
• Activated carbon filtration stage aids in reducing chlorine and certain organic contaminants.
• Silver impregnation integrated into the ceramic walls provides enhanced defence against against microbiological growth

• Removes 99.99% E.coli and Vibrio Cholerae (Cholera)

Installation and Replacement

Please Note: when changing the fluoride cartridge it is important that the fluoride cartridge is flushed alone to prevent it from flushing into the next stages of filtration.  Flush water through this cartridge in the system for 20 minutes before adding the next stages. View Instructions.

Chloramine Specialist: Unlike standard carbon, this block is specifically designed to break down Chloramine, a persistent disinfectant used in most Australian capital municipal water supplies that affects taste and skin sensitivity.

Mechanical Precision: The 1-micron absolute rating acts as a physical sieve, effectively trapping particulates, rust, and sediment, as well as 99.95% of Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts. Rated as 1 Micron Absolute, it means the physical pore structure is so consistent that it will trap 99.9% or more of all particles 1 micron or larger.

Chemical Adsorption: Effectively reduces particulates, chemicals, lead, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) through high-density coconut shell carbon.
